Sunday excursion

Hubby and I spent the afternoon today walking around Hermann Park, which is near our apartment. It's a beautiful park with a reflecting pond, a lake, and an outdoor amphitheater. It's a great place to unwind before the ratrace begins again tomorrow!

The lake is absolutely beautiful, and there are ducks everywhere. The building in the background is Memorial Hermann Hospital, which is the main hospital in the Medical Center. There are many other hospitals, including St. Lukes and M.D. Anderson, as well as Hubby's medical school. You just can't see the other buildings!


There are several small gardens within Hermann Park--here is one of them. This is the Japanese garden--it's so tranquil. I love the style and all the greenery.


And lastly, me doing my model pose. Hubby loves taking artsy-fartsy pictures. Unfortunately we got none of us together. Maybe next time!
